Temet blast valves for hardened shelters provide protection against blast pressures for air intake and exhaust vents. All Temet blast valves are designed to exceed the rigorous requirements of military, civil and industrial hardened shelters.
PSV-Series Blast Valves function to allow the passage of air for
ventilation and cooling while preventing the passage of dangerous
overpressures and pass-through impulse. PSV-Series Blast Valves are
designed to perform in peak reflected overpressures up to 60 bars
(870psi) for short duration (5 ms).

PV-KK Blast Valves have been installed in hardened shelters and
onshore / offshore applications in harsh environmental conditions
for over 20 years. Acid proof steel versions (SMX) provide blast
protection in areas where chemicals are extremely corrosive while
in less demanding environments hot-dipped galvanizing provides
standard protection.
YV-Series Overpressure Blast Valves are used as air outlet
valves and as internal pressure regulation valves. The valve is
completely corrosion resistant and protects against
destructive pressures up to 3 bars (43.5 psi). Temet YV-Series
Overpressure Blast Valves are also used as pressure relief valves
for fire suppression systems. In these situations when an inert gas
is released at a rapid rate of expansion to suppress a fire, the
valve opens to release the gas. Computer server rooms, electrical
rooms, telecommunications centers and command centers utilize the
pressure relief valve.

PVD-Series Exhaust and Sanitary Blast Valves are designed for
diesel engine exhausts and other hot corrosive applications. The
PVD Series blast valves protect against peak reflected blast
overpressures up to 60 bars (870psi)and provide complete protection
during operational temperatures up to 650˚C (1200˚F).
